Global Health Clinical Skills Training
The Global Pediatric Clinical Skills Week is an annual course which provides an overview of key topics for pediatric clinicians to help prepare them for clinical work in resource-constrained settings. This two-day course combines didactic, case-based teaching, and hands-on skill workshops to provide learners with a comprehensive introduction to key global health concepts and foundational skills to care for neonates through adolescents. A series of workshops provide learners with the opportunity to gain practical skills training using case-based simulations and hands-on skills stations. Our multi-disciplinary faculty present evidence-based guidelines for the management of common illnesses, injuries, and tropical diseases affecting children in resource-constrained settings.
