The Susanna Ryan Endowed Fellowship in Global Health was established in September 2024 in honor of Susanna Ryan, a model of strong leadership and determination.

This Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for a fellow to engage in global health work without the typical constraints of a full-time clinical position, providing the flexibility to respond swiftly to urgent child health needs, particularly in areas with limited access to services.

In response to global crises such as pandemics, economic instability, climate change, and conflict—and their impact on child mental health—the inaugural fellowship will be awarded to a Mental Health Fellow, focusing on enhancing child mental health services in underserved regions worldwide.
