Computer Vision in Neonatal Respiratory Distress
Funded by the Thrasher Research Fund and in collaboration with local clinical partners, the project team is working to develop and validate computer vision and AI models to non-invasively detect and monitor neonatal respiratory distress in real time. This work aims to help frontline health workers identify critically ill newborns earlier, particularly in low-resource settings, with an overall goal of advancing health systems strengthening and training and workforce development.
