TB Screening in Pregnant and Postpartum Women Living With HIV in Botswana
As a Pediatric Infectious Disease fellow, Dr. Melanie Dubois participated in the combined Infectious Disease and Global Health training pathway at Boston Children's Hospital. In this role, she worked on two mixed-methods research studies focused on maternal and adolescent tuberculosis (TB); sub-studies of the FLOURISH study based at the Botswana-Harvard AIDS Institute Partnership. Dr. Dubois received funding through an HIV T32 Training Grant to perform a study evaluating TB screening practices in pregnant and postpartum women living with HIV in Botswana. She also received funding through the Aerosmith Endowment Fund for Prevention and Treatment of HIV and Other Sexually Transmitted Infections to perform a study evaluating TB and HIV care in adolescents living in Botswana.
